Form drilling

Form drilling is one of the most frequent operations found in the machining of precision parts. Schwanog form drill with exchangeable inserts is recommended wherever drilling tolerances are ≥ ± 0.02 mm. There is no need for separate adjustment during tool changes, and the inserts and coating of the exchangeable insert are also significantly less expensive than coating a complete solid carbide drill. However, if tighter tolerances or greater drilling depths are required, Schwanog offers solid carbide form drills which are individually ground to drawing in all sizes, specifications and materials.
